The AKA's put on a wonderful event for the kids of our community to educate them and their parents about various Fraternities, Sororities and Colleges. Organization that attended included Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi, Omega Psi Phi, Zeta Phi Beta, Delta Sigma Theta, Eureka Club and many More. Colleges that attended included Alabama State, Alabama A&M, and Howard University. The event was held August 14, 2010 at Walton Park. The kids who attended received free school supplies and were treated to a special guest speaker. There was also games and free food. Some kids received money through a drawing along with other door prizes. It was truly a wonderful event. |
