Faye Walker Howell the author of “Shaking My Tree” is bringing a Movie to Dothan, Alabama in conjunction with Five S Creations LLC. On January 29, 2009 Local members of the Dothan and Wiregrass community where invited to come to a casting call at D’Monico’s, which is located on the corner of Foster and West Troy Street Downtown Dothan. The purpose of the Casting call was to audition local talent for the many roles available in the up and coming movie “Sho’ Nuff Roxie” a film based on the book “Shaking My Tree” and centered around Mrs. Faye Howell’s Great Grandmother and relatives who lived in the Dothan Area at the turn of the century and actual events that took place during their lifetime after the civil war.
One of the many events includes the mention of the Wesley "Wes" Johnson Lynching near Tumbleton, AL. The movie will be filmed in Dothan, Alabama at Landmark Park among other locals in the city.
