Yes, Dothan is a city in Alabama and this is where the site all began, but it is also a biblical place and there is a verse we in Dothan like to quote from the bible which goes like this, "...for I heard them say, let us go to Dothan." Genesis 37:17. I hope a lot of people will be saying for I heard them say, let us go to AfroDothan.com. Then I often get this question,"Why AFRO?" My answer is why not? First of all, I am black and proud of it. I also like the hairstyle and the culture. When it comes to Television, Fashion and just about everything else; we Afro-Americans, African-Americans, Blacks, the founders of the Hip-Hop Generation (or whatever we go by) today have shaped it. This site may not be for everyone, but everyone is invited to come and share in it. Those who will support it, will support it.
